[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju] Broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo will take the microphone as a soccer caster. He is set to cover the World Cup for the first time in his life.
Jeon Hyun-moo will serve as a special caster for the third group stage match of Group A at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North and Central America, held on the 25th at Monterrey Stadium in Mexico.
He shared his thoughts ahead of his World Cup caster debut through SNS. "No matter what, take South Africa and go to LA (Los Angeles). Let's go for a big win," he said.
He also shared photos and videos taken directly from the stadium. He sat side by side with commentator Lee Young-pyo, who works in sync with him, and wished for Korea's victory.
This is Jeon Hyun-moo's first time participating in World Cup coverage. In 2024 during the Paris Olympics, he challenged himself as a sports caster and covered weightlifting competitions.
Meanwhile, the Korean national soccer team under manager Hong Myung-bo will play their final group stage match against South Africa on the same day. The team's advancement to the Round of 32 will be determined.
