[Dispatch=Lee Ajin Reporter] Actor Lee Soon-won shared his thoughts ahead of the conclusion of the MBC-TV Friday-Saturday drama "Fifty Fifty" (Screenplay by Jang Won-seop, Directed by Han Dong-hwa).
Lee Soon-won played the role of Geum Kang-sik, the second-in-command of the Ingu faction. With his raised eyebrows, dynamic shifts in attitude, and rough suit styling, he showed high synchronization with the character.
He said, "I was happy to meet the character Geum Kang-sik," adding "He may appear to be an opportunist, but he was actually a person with a strong survival instinct."
He continued, "I felt that Geum Kang-sik was making every effort to survive in his own way. So I tried to focus as much as possible on his human side."
He also mentioned his chemistry with Hyun Bong-sik. Hyun Bong-sik appeared as Yu In-gu, the boss of the Ingu faction. Lee Soon-won said, "We came up with many ideas together and joked around to match our timing."
He also revealed ad-lib behind-the-scenes that he came up with himself. These include the scene in episode 1 where Jongho Myung (played by Shin Ha-kyun) arrives to receive outstanding payment from Heaven Capital, and the scene in episode 2 where he visits Bong Je-soon's (played by Oh Jung-se) house.
He said, "We practiced carefully from rehearsal, so there weren't many NGs," and expressed gratitude, saying "The director trusted us and gave us room to try various things."
Meanwhile, "Fifty Fifty" is an action comedy. It tells the story of three men who seemed ordinary but had some flair, who start moving again due to fate.
"Fifty Fifty" will air its finale on the 27th.
