Not a rookie girl group, but the birth of a girl crew. The group conveys its commitment to becoming a key that creates a new trend in the music industry. They prove through skill rather than words. From the debut showcase, they displayed explosive vocal power piercing through the microphone and powerful hip-hop performances. Jiwon expressed her ambition, saying, "I want to show not only hip-hop but various music styles and become a medium connecting subculture and mainstream media." Kibitz held a debut EP 'OXY_GEN' media showcase on the 30th at Yes24 Wonder Rock Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. They unveiled the debut title track stage and announced the start of full-scale activities. Kibitz released a pre-release single 'Key Beats' in April before their official debut and continued their official activities. They took the stage at major domestic and international festivals and began activities ahead of time. Yeseul shared her debut impressions, saying, "While doing the pre-release activities, I thought I'd be less nervous at debut. But I seem to be even more nervous. I think I need to work harder." The new album 'OXY_GEN' signifies oxygen (OXY) and generation. It symbolizes the members as a new generation constantly moving, colliding, and creating their own flow. Based on subculture and underground culture, Kibitz aims to create unpredictable movements and styles unique to them. The total five tracks are structured based on hip-hop. The album includes title track 'OXY,' pre-release tracks 'Key Beats' and 'Catch My Breath,' 'SUB_ZERO,' and sub-title 'SUCK IT UP.' The album contains the members' stories. Jiwon said, "The producer heard our stories and created based on that," adding, "Thanks to that, we sang more sincerely." She continued, "It's an album with more process than results," and introduced it as "containing the pressure, effort, and determination we felt while preparing for debut." The members also put effort into the overall album. Jiwon wrote lyrics for 'Key Beats,' and members participated in lyrics, composition, and arrangement for 'SUCK IT UP.' They also participated in choreography creation for 'SUB_ZERO.' Jiwon expressed her hope, saying, "Going forward, we aim to increase member participation and release an album produced by all members." AOMG artists provided support. The title track 'OXY' features Lee Bae from AOMG. 'SUB_ZERO' features Punchnello. Juwon said, "Senior Park Jae-beom produced 'Catch My Breath.' Besides that, senior Miju provided overall feedback, and senior Kian84 even helped structure the showcase," expressing gratitude. They also received endless feedback during the debut process. Jiwon revealed, "At the end-of-month evaluation, company seniors told us 'Don't try too hard, just enjoy it.' Thanks to that, we've become an even cooler Kibitz now." Do they feel burdened by being AOMG's first girl crew? Yuna said, "Debuting from a company representing hip-hop comes as both burden and responsibility. It seems to be working positively." Yeseul added, "Former seniors paved the way, and we inherited their hip-hop mindset," saying, "Instead of burden, we're focusing on the five of us moving toward the same goal." Kibitz includes members from Mnet's survival audition 'I-LAND2.' Son Juwon, Yui, and Eom Jiwon are among them. They shared how it felt to become a team in a new environment. Yui said, "For me, 'I-LAND2' was a big challenge. After the broadcast ended and I was contemplating, I heard about the girl crew and came to Korea from Japan. I'm happy to have met a crew I couldn't meet anywhere else." Jiwon and Juwon said, "The biggest point is that all three of us grew as all-rounders," adding, "We've become more solid and mature. We're cheering each other on to become one crew." The title track stage was also visible that day. 'OXY' stood out with its rapid development and addictive riser melody. It combines various hip-hop sounds to implement energy heading toward explosive momentum. The members announced Kibitz's beginning with a fierce stage performance. They played minimal volume AR and showcased clean live vocals. They powerfully executed distinctive choreography as well. What is Kibitz's strength? Yui confidently said, "We're a puzzle-like group where each member cannot be replaced by someone else. Each person excels distinctly and harmonizes distinctly." Yuna added, "I think a girl crew is created not from concept but from attitude. Creating unpredictable individuality is our strength." The team's goals were also heard. Yeseul wished, "I want to become iconic. I want to be someone's motto. I want our genre to become that distinct. And I also want to achieve a music show number one." Finally, Yui vowed, "I've finally achieved the dream I've been dreaming of for so long," saying, "I will keep my original heart and work harder to show good sides."
