Lee Eun-sang exits 'UNITE'... "I will challenge myself as a solo artist"

[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] Lee Eun-sang of 'UNITE' is leaving the team. He is embarking on a new start as a solo artist.

'Brand New Music' announced Lee Eun-sang's departure on the 1st. "Lee Eun-sang is concluding his group activities and starting a new challenge as a solo artist," the agency said.

This comes 10 months after he halted activities due to health reasons. He took a break starting in May of last year. He also missed out on the mini 8th album 'INYUN: INYUN Part 1' activities.

Through a handwritten letter, Lee Eun-sang expressed gratitude, saying, "While I am concluding my activities with the team UNITE, I will never forget all the time spent with the members and staff."

He continued, "I convey my sincere heart to the members who taught me so much and showed me love," and said, "I will greet you again with my growth and music."

Lee Eun-sang debuted through Mnet's 'Produce X 101' in 2019 and made his debut as 'X1'. After the team disbanded, he made his re-debut as a member of UNITE in 2022, and was active for three years.

His next move is as a solo artist. The agency said, "Lee Eun-sang will show more developed sides to the fans who have waited with unwavering affection for a long time."

The agency added, "We ask for warm encouragement for his new beginning. We hope you continue to show unchanging love and support for UNITE."
