On the 29th of last month at 6 p.m., Taeyeon released her "First J-pop Remake Project - Banquet Song" (hereinafter "Banquet Song") through various music platforms.

"Banquet Song" entered at No. 2 on Bugs' real-time chart on its release day. A day later, on the 1st, it reached the top. It also claimed No. 1 on the daily chart.

The song also ranked No. 1 on Melon's "Hot 100" (within 30 days of release), No. 5 on "Hot 100" (within 100 days of release). It took the No. 13 spot on "Top 100."

The music video is also popular. Won-i and Mina of Lisne played girls with contrasting emotions. It topped the Korean trending videos.

"Banquet Song" is a remake of a track by Japanese singer-songwriter Tsuki. Taeyeon reinterpreted it with her distinctive deep vocals and expressiveness.

Meanwhile, the "J-pop Remake Project" is a music project where Korean artists present Japanese classics with new sensibility.
