[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-joo] Singer Lee Hyun has renewed his contract with HYBE Music.
HYBE Music announced on the 8th the news of the renewal with Lee Hyun. The two sides have worked together for 19 years since their first exclusive contract in 2007.
The agency said, "It holds great meaning to continue our relationship with an artist who has been with us since the company's inception," and added, "We will actively support his activities."
Lee Hyun also shared his thoughts on the renewal. "I have renewed my contract with HYBE Music, my musical home and partner. It was based on trust and respect," he said.
He continued, "I will show my fans, who have waited for my music, frequent and active activities. I will be a singer who never stops singing."
Lee Hyun also said, "I am grateful to HYBE Music, which is always by my side, and to my fans who continue to show their love. I ask for your anticipation and support."
Lee Hyun is a former member of 8EIGHT. Under the production of Bang Si-hyuk, chairman of HIVE, he released numerous hit songs including "No Heart" and "I've Tried to Block Those Lips."
He consistently expanded his scope of activities. He formed "HOMME" with 2AM's Lee Chang-min and released "Just Eat Well." His solo track "The Best of Mine" was also popular.
In 2023, he returned as another alter ego "MIDNATT." The digital single "Masquerade" was produced in six languages for the first time in K-pop.
Meanwhile, HYBE Music is a comprehensive entertainment agency. In addition to Lee Hyun, BTS, TXT, and CORTIS are under the agency.
