[Dispatch=Park Hye-jin Reporter] Actors Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Minho will walk the red carpet at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival. The film 'Assassin(s)' (director Huh Jin-ho) will first meet global audiences.

The 'Assassin(s)' side announced on the 8th that it has been officially invited to the Gala Presentations section of the 51st Toronto International Film Festival.

Executive Director Cameron Bailey said, "Director Huh is one of our most beloved filmmakers," and added, "It is a dynamic story that deals with a shocking chapter in Korean history, unfolded through his direction. The performances led by Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Minho are also fantastic."

Director Huh Jin-ho is participating in the section for the third time. Following 'Dangerous Liaisons' in 2012 and 'An Ordinary Family' in 2023, he plans to prove his directing capabilities with 'Assassin(s)'.

'Assassin(s)' is a mystery thriller. It deals with an incident that shocked the Republic of Korea on August 15, 1974. It traces suspicions and the background of an incident involving the First Lady.

The intense performances of Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Minho are anticipated. Yoo Hae-jin takes on the role of Chul-gu, a detective who was in charge of security at the scene of the incident. He is a character who questions the investigation headquarters' announcement.

Park Hae-il plays Jae-hwan, an editorial director at the social news desk of a newspaper. He unearths the truth of the incident against external pressure. Minho plays Yeong-il, a rookie reporter. He rushes into danger to find the truth of the incident.

Production is handled by Hive Media Corp. Domestic masters including cinematographer Lee Mo-gae, lighting director Lee Sung-hwan, production designer Kim Byung-han, and VFX supervisor Jung Jae-hoon participated to enhance completion quality.

The 51st Toronto International Film Festival will be held from September 10 to 20. 'Assassin(s)' is scheduled for domestic release in September during Chuseok.
