According to the latest Tudum count (June 29-July 5), SBS-TV's "Mr. Kim" (written by Nam Dae-joong, directed by Lee Seung-young) ranked first on the Global Top 10 Non-English Shows.
The work recorded 10.5 million views (viewing hours divided by total runtime) during the tracking period. Total viewing hours came to 44.1 million hours.
It exceptionally surpassed 10 million views for a Netflix simultaneous-broadcast drama. In the case of "Tyrant Chef," it was counted at 8 million views in the first week of release.
The global ripple effect is considerable. "Mr. Kim" entered the Top 10 in 79 countries and regions, including Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Belgium, and Greece.
Among these, it claimed first place in 11 countries and regions. It was loved in South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Bolivia.
"Mr. Kim" is a revenge action series based on a webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of an ordinary father who stakes everything to get back his only daughter.
So Ji-seop played a father character with a high school-aged daughter for the first time since his debut. After his daughter goes missing, he reveals the facet of a murderous weapon that had been sealed away.
Meanwhile, "True Education" ranked second on the Global Top 10 Non-English Shows. "Boy at the Back Row" was ranked at fifth.
