[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] TWICE's Sana is taking on a new challenge.

JYP Entertainment said on the 8th to Dispatch, "Sana is making her screen debut. She has been offered a role in the Korea-Japan co-production film 'Nyangyi' (working title)."

This is Sana's first acting challenge. She debuted as a TWICE member in October 2015. Since then, she has also been active in the unit Misa Mo.

Her co-star is Japanese actor Sato Takeru. Sato Takeru is familiar to Korean audiences through the drama 'Kamen Rider Den-O' and the 'Rurouni Kenshin' film series.

The two will work together again through this project. Sato Takeru appeared in the teasing content for Misa Mo's debut album 'Play'.

Meanwhile, 'Nyangyi' will begin filming in the second half of this year.
