[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju] Actress Yoon Yeo-jung has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS) announced the nominees for each category of the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on the 9th (Korean time).
Yoon Yeo-jung was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. She competes against Dakota Fanning and Joey Sands, among others.
The nominated work is the Netflix series "The Diplomat Season 2". She played Han, a Korean billionaire and country club owner.
Attention is on whether Yoon Yeo-jung can add another international awards acting honor. In 2021, Yoon Yeo-jung became the first Korean actor to win an Oscar (Minari).
"The Diplomat Season 2" was named in multiple categories beyond Outstanding Supporting Actress (Yoon Yeo-jung). It was selected as a candidate for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
Outstanding Supporting Actor (Oscar Isaac), Outstanding Lead Actress (Carey Mulligan), Outstanding Supporting Actor (Charles Melton), Outstanding Casting, Outstanding Directing, and 15 other categories.
The previous installment, "The Diplomat," swept a total of 8 Emmy trophies. Korean-American actor Steven Yeun won Outstanding Lead Actor.
Meanwhile, the Emmy Awards are America's most prestigious broadcast awards ceremony. Previously, Lee Jung-jae won Outstanding Lead Actor (Squid Game), and Lee You-mi won Guest Award.
