Song Joong Ki X Park Ji Hyun, romantic comedy chemistry… 'Love Cloud' casting

[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju] Actors Song Joong-ki and Park Ji-hyun reunite in a romantic comedy.

KBS revealed the casting lineup for the new Saturday-Sunday miniseries 'Love Cloud' (screenplay by Team Mad Rabbit, directed by Song Min-yeop) on the 9th. Song Joong-ki and Park Ji-hyun will appear.

'Love Cloud' is a weather-fated romance. It tells the story of an ex-couple who reunite—an air traffic controller whose heart is visible through the weather and a pilot cursed by weather.

Song Joong-ki takes on the role of Kang Woo-joo, an air traffic controller and former flight instructor. He was an instructor strict enough to be called the 'Mad Captain,' and now lives as an air traffic controller.

He is characterized by his contrasting charm. He is perfect at work. Meanwhile, he has a hobby of observing clouds during his time off. His life trajectory changes with An Ha-neui's appearance.

Song Joong-ki said, "When I first read the script, the setting where An Ha-neui's emotions connect with clouds was very interesting," and added, "I will show good chemistry with Park Ji-hyun."

He continued, "Working with good directors, writers, and actors, I will do my best to convey the appeal of the work well to viewers."

Park Ji-hyun plays pilot An Ha-neui, whose weather changes according to her mood. She is a workaholic willing to take on tasks others avoid to secure a promotion.

Then she encounters an unexpected accident. She falls under a curse where her heart becomes the weather. Eventually she reunites with her ex-boyfriend Kang Woo-joo, and her emotions become turbulent.

Park Ji-hyun said, "While reading the script, I laughed, cried, and couldn't let go of the tension through my immersion," and added, "I will deliver pleasant excitement to viewers."

Director Song Min-yeop is in charge of direction. He earned recognition for his directorial abilities through dramas 'May Youth' and 'Hi Rookie.' Emerging writer team 'Team Mad Rabbit' wrote the screenplay.

Meanwhile, 'Love Cloud' is scheduled to air next year.
