[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] SEVENTEEN proved their popularity in Japan.
The Japan Record Association announced Gold Disk certification works on the 10th (June). They received "Million" certification with their 11th mini album 'Seventeen's Heaven.'
"Million" is one of nine certification standards set by the Japan Record Association. Albums with cumulative shipments of over 1 million copies receive Gold Disk certification.
It is the only foreign artist album to receive "Million" certification this year. 'Seventeen's Heaven' has maintained steady popularity since its release in October 2023.
The album also set a new K-pop record for the most first-week sales (sales during the first week of album release). In the first week of its release, it sold over 5.09 million copies.
SEVENTEEN has now obtained their third Gold Disk "Million" certification. They had previously set records with their first Japanese EP 'Dream' and their 10th mini album 'FML.'
They said, "We are happy to receive this surprising news. We are grateful to CARAT (fandom name)," and added, "We will show you various activities, so we ask for your support."
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is continuing unit and solo activities. 'V8' will hold a solo concert on the 11th. Dino will release a solo album as 'alternate character' Picheorin.
