According to the Korean Film Council's integrated cinema ticket system, "Moana" drew 403,822 viewers over the past weekend (July 10-12). The cumulative audience count is 511,078.
Steady box office success is anticipated given the high synchronization with the original and overwhelming scale. "Moana" recorded a 96% CGV Egg Index, the actual viewer rating.
Global box office performance continues. Based on Box Office Mojo data, the film earned $43 million (approximately 64.5 billion won) during its first three days in North America. It took the number one spot.
"Moana" is a live-action film adaptation of the animated film of the same name. It tells the story of the protagonist setting out to sea with a legendary hero to save a cursed island.
Meanwhile, "Pupil" ranked second with 257,816 viewers. "Toy Story 5" took third place with 238,524 viewers.
