The production team of Coupang Play series "Now Infidelity Is Not the Problem" (written by Jung Eun-kyung and Park Su-rin, directed by Lee Chang-hee) released a teaser trailer on the 14th.
The video is approximately 1 minute and 2 seconds long. It begins with influencer Kyung-hee (played by Kim Hye-soo) entering a luxury residential area with her family.
She smiled as if she had everything in the world. On the living room sofa bathed in bright light, she enjoyed leisurely moments with her husband Jae-hong (played by Kim Jihoon) and daughter Yeji.
However, tensions begin to shift when she is invited to the home of dermatologist Soo-jung (played by Cho Yeo-jung). Soo-jung, who is in the middle of divorce proceedings, makes an enigmatic remark.
Afterwards, Kyung-hee encounters rumors of her actor husband Jae-hong's infidelity. Following him, she witnesses a shocking scene of her husband in an empty house in a redevelopment area.
The atmosphere changes drastically. Kyung-hee's sense of despair and Soo-jung seemingly overhearing something create meaningful dialogue exchanges that add intrigue.
Kyung-hee's statement at the end of the trailer hints at a massive secret. The remark "It would have been better if it were infidelity" raises questions about the true nature of the incident.
"Now Infidelity Is Not the Problem" is a black comedy. It tells the story of two seemingly perfect families being drawn into an uncontrollable incident.
"Trusted actors" make a full appearance. Kim Hye-soo and Cho Yeo-jung play Kyung-hee and Soo-jung respectively. Kim Jihoon and Kim Jae-chul take on the roles of their husbands.
Direction is handled by director Lee Chang-hee. Through dramas such as "Murderer Difficult" and "Others Are Hell," he has displayed a stylish sensibility.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk also lent his support. He is the filmmaker behind the "Squid Game" phenomenon. As head of "Firstman Studio," he takes responsibility for production.
Meanwhile, "Now Infidelity Is Not the Problem" will be released on Coupang Play on the 31st at 8 p.m.
