[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Ah-jin] The film "Eerie Romance" has returned as a drama. Actors Park Eun-bin, Yang Se-jong, and Ong Seong-wu have come together. They will present an occult romance to dispel the heat of midsummer.

The original work has been boldly reinterpreted. Only the setting of the female lead seeing ghosts has been retained, with most of it changed anew. The female lead has become a hotel representative, and the male lead has become a prosecutor instead of a magician.

Special settings unique to the drama have also been added. Anyone touched by the hands of Cheon Yeo-ri can see ghosts. A more diverse range of incidents and relationships unfold compared to the original.

Park Eun-bin said, "We expanded a 2-hour film into a 12-part drama" and "We incorporated over 6 times the new settings. You will be able to enjoy a much richer and more entertaining story," she expressed confidence.

tvN's new Saturday drama "Eerie Romance" held a production presentation on the 14th at Eliana Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Min-soo, Park Eun-bin, Yang Se-jong, and Ong Seong-wu attended.

"Eerie Romance" is an occult romance genre. It tells the story of a hotel heiress who sees ghosts and a passionate prosecutor conducting a joint investigation.

Park Eun-bin plays the role of Cheon Yeo-ri, a hotel heiress. Cheon Yeo-ri is the representative of the nation's top luxury hotel. Outwardly cool-headed, she possesses a warm inner nature that willingly sacrifices for others.

She has returned to romance after three years. Park Eun-bin said, "I like complex genres" and "I was drawn to this because it centers on romance while blending various elements including occult, joint investigation, and action," revealing her reason for choosing the work.

She put effort into styling to match the chaebol role. She explained, "Because of the setting that the ability to see ghosts can be transferred, I wore gloves all day long" and "Instead, I tried to vary other aspects like costumes and hair as much as possible."

Yang Se-jong plays Ma Gang-uk, an ace prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office. He is a character with outstanding physicality and brilliant intellect. After meeting Cheon Yeo-ri by chance, his ordinary daily life changes completely.

Yang Se-jong said, "I'm actually very scared of ghosts" and "Still, it seemed fun to meet various ghosts on set. That's why I took on this work," he laughed.

He focused on building the character anew. He said, "I discussed many things with the director on set to find a new look. I went through countless rehearsals to ensure those considerations were clearly reflected in my acting," he recalled.

He did not overlook his goofy charm. Yang Se-jong said, "'Dang-dang-mi' character full of charm came to mind while acting" and "I will show you a different side from the romance works I've shown you before," he conveyed.

Ong Seong-wu takes on the role of Kang Min-hwan. He is the representative of Raymond Hotel. He steps between Cheon Yeo-ri and Ma Gang-uk, forming a love triangle.

He is challenging a villain role for the first time. Ong Seong-wu said, "I'm often told that I look upright" and "I had a strong desire to show a face different from that image," he disclosed.

He moves between the coldness of a hotel representative and the nature of a villain. Ong Seong-wu noted, "Even in ordinary scenes, I was careful to exude a chilly atmosphere here and there."

Park Eun-bin said, "Ong Seong-wu called me 'noona' before filming and approached me cutely, but when the camera rolls, he becomes completely different" and "You will be able to see a new side of Ong Seong-wu," she hinted.

The actors shared their viewing points in the end. Park Eun-bin said, "Please look forward to the refreshing love line that Cheon Yeo-ri and Ma Gang-uk will show."

Yang Se-jong said, "Director Lee Min-soo's warm sensibility is well woven throughout the work" and "Since it's a drama with so much to see, I hope you will join us," he said.

Ong Seong-wu added, "'Hand' appears as an important device" and "Please focus on how Cheon Yeo-ri and Ma Gang-uk will hold hands, and how the hand extended by Cheon Yeo-ri will change Ma Gang-uk's life."
