[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-joo] The film 'Gyeongju Trip' (director Kim Mi-jo) will meet domestic audiences this summer.
Distributor Lotte Entertainment announced on the 15th, "The release date for 'Gyeongju Trip' has been confirmed. It is scheduled to open nationwide next month on the 26th."
'Gyeongju Trip' is a family revenge story of four women and daughters who embark on a 'killer' trip after eight years of waiting for their youngest daughter who did not return from a school trip.
Related posters have been unveiled. It appears to be an ordinary family trip, but the atmosphere is somewhat mysterious. The red silhouette in human form is also suggestive.
The copy in the poster also adds intrigue. With the phrases "Kidnapped a murderer" and "The trip is an alibi, the purpose is revenge," it hints at the nature of the trip.
This work has heightened expectations through a meeting of irreplaceable actors. Led by Lee Jung-eun, Gong Hyo-jin, Park So-dam, and Lee Yeon completed the powerful lineup.
Director Kim Mi-jo takes on both screenplay and direction, challenging her first commercial film. Before release, it was invited to the Hawaii International Film Festival and the Florence Korean Film Festival.
Meanwhile, 'Gyeongju Trip' opens next month on the 26th.
