[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju] So Ji-sub's fists have struck globally.
According to the latest Tudum tallies (June 6–12), SBS-TV's "Kim's Assistant" (written by Nam Dae-joong, directed by Lee Seung-young) topped the global top 10 non-English shows.
The drama recorded 9.1 million hours viewed (viewing hours divided by total runtime), claiming the No. 1 position in the series aggregate (English and non-English combined).
Its consistent performance is noteworthy. "Kim's Assistant" reached the top of the global top 10 non-English shows on the 8th, two weeks after its release, and has held the No. 1 position for two consecutive weeks.
The number of regions at No. 1 has also grown. The title achieved the top position in a total of 22 countries/regions: South Korea, Bolivia, Peru, Morocco, Oman, the Philippines, and others.
Including these regions, it entered the top 10 in a total of 72 countries/regions. It has been a hit in Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and others.
"Kim's Assistant" is a revenge action series based on a webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of an ordinary father who risks everything to recover his one and only daughter.
So Ji-sub plays a father with a high school-aged daughter for the first time since his debut. After his daughter goes missing, he reveals the side of a lethal weapon that had been sealed away.
Meanwhile, "True Education" rose to No. 2 on the global top 10 non-English shows. "Forever Single But Want to Date 2" placed at No. 8, and "Apartment" at No. 10.
