[Dispatch=Lee Myeong-ju] The film "No Way Out" (directed by Park Chan-wook) arrives with a runtime extended by 19 minutes.
Distributor CJ ENM announced on the 16th that "'No Way Out Extended' begins its IPTV, digital cable TV, online and mobile VOD service launch on that day."
The extended version has a runtime of 157 minutes, adding 19 minutes to the theatrical release version (138 minutes). New scenes dealing with character relationships and emotional storylines that were not in the original have been added.
In particular, scenes of Man-su (played by Lee Byung-hun) and Mi-ri (played by Son Ye-jin) and Li-won (played by Choi So-yul) leaving the cello practice room in their daily lives, and a new episode at Jin-ho (played by Yoo Yeon-seok)'s dental clinic have been added.
Major scenes were also reinforced. The job training facility scene, the family's daily life, the couple relationship between Man-su and Mi-ri, and scenes after the incident are expanded with different dialogue from the existing version.
An official stated, "This extended version will provide an opportunity for audiences who have seen the film to make new discoveries, and for those who have not yet watched, to experience the work as a richer story."
Meanwhile, "No Way Out" tells the story of a company employee named Man-su who suddenly gets laid off and prepares his own battle toward reemployment.
