[Dispatch=Reporter Gu Minji] ILLIT is making a targeted appeal to Japanese tastes. The group has joined hands with Japan's leading musicians.

ILLIT will release the audio for their second Japanese single "I Got Your Back" on global music streaming sites on the 26th. The physical album is scheduled for release on the 29th.

A total of three tracks are included. The title track of the same name, a Korean version of the song, and the animation OST "Sunday Morning" (2026.1). The Korean version of "I Got Your Back" will only be included on the album.

"I Got Your Back" boasts an impressive lineup of creators. Yuika, the original artist of "Sukihaniya," which is popular on global short-form platforms, handled the lyrics. The song incorporates a girl's delicate emotional nuances.

Global hit maker Okajima Kanata participated in the composition. A figure who has created numerous hit songs with BTS and Snow Man. He completed ILLIT's rock sound sensibility.

The song is in the rock genre. It tells of feelings for a friend who is there even in everyday life weighed down by anxiety and pressure. ILLIT conveys warm comfort through their sincere voice.

On the 17th, part of the audio was pre-released on SNS. It captured music fans' ears with an addictive melody. In particular, lyrics such as "You're not alone" were striking.

Meanwhile, ILLIT will hold "ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START︎ in JAPAN" at Glion Arena Kobe in Hyogo, Japan from the 18th to 10th.

The members will tour five Japanese cities. This tour sold out all seats early. Due to fans' enthusiastic support, restricted-view and standing seats for some performances were additionally opened.
