Disney+ series 'Killers' Shopping Mall' returns with Season 2 after two years. Actors Lee Dong-wook, Kim Hye-jun, Jo Han-sun, and Geum Hae-na reunited. They present even more intense action.

New faces have joined. Jeong Yun-ha, Hyun-li, and Okada Masaki appear as key figures of the global organization 'Babylon'. The unfinished war between Murder Help and Babylon begins again.

The keyword of Season 2 is 'growth'. It depicts the process of Jeong Ji-an (played by Kim Hye-jun) growing into an adult through repeated survival and counterattacks. In addition to spectacular action, character growth narratives have been added.

'Killers' Shopping Mall Season 2' held a production presentation on the morning of the 20th at Conrad Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Lee Dong-wook, Kim Hye-jun, Jo Han-sun, Geum Hae-na, Kim Min, Jeong Yun-ha, Hyun-li, Okada Masaki, and Director Lee Kwon attended.

'Killers' Shopping Mall Season 2' is an action series. It depicts the story of Jeong Ji-an, who became the new CEO of Murder Help, and Jeong Jin-man (played by Lee Dong-wook), who returned alive, launching a full-scale counterattack against 'Babylon'.

The previous season was highly praised globally, being selected as 'Best International TV Show' by The New York Times upon release and named in TIME's 'Top 4 Korean Dramas of the Year'. It created a 'Jeong Jin-man syndrome' with its stylish action.

The keyword that runs through this season is 'counterattack'. Director Lee Kwon said, "I like the phrase 'every attack has a counterattack,'" and revealed, "I conceived Season 2 while contemplating how to answer the questions left behind in Season 1."

It chose a different path from the original novel 'Murderer's Shopping Mall'. The director explained, "I started from the questions left in the previous season—what kind of organization is Babylon, why did they attack Jeong Jin-man—and in Season 2, we plan to expand and show you the world of Babylon."

Lee Dong-wook returns as 'Jeong Jin-man', a mercenary from Babylon and founder of the shopping mall 'Murder Help'. He jumps into another life-or-death fight against Babylon, which threatens his niece Ji-an.

He said, "I'm honored and delighted to be able to play Jeong Jin-man again. We were able to reach Season 2 thanks to the great love received. I thank the viewers."

Season 1 ended with Jin-man's death. However, in Season 2, the truth hidden behind his death is revealed. While Ji-an protected Murder Help, what Jin-man did and where he was unfolds in full.

Lee Dong-wook pointed out the viewpoint, "In the previous season, the exchange with young Ji-an was the center. This time, you can see an adult Ji-an emotionally conversing and clashing with him, building their relationship."

Kim Hye-jun made a comeback as 'Jeong Ji-an', the new CEO of Murder Help. Having survived the attack from Babylon, he no longer runs away. He launches a direct counterattack against the pursuit of killers.

If Season 1 was Ji-an's survival story thrown into the world of killers, Season 2 more deeply portrays his sense of responsibility and awakening as he must lead Murder Help.

Kim Hye-jun said, "In Season 1, I focused on surviving, but this time I'm not just taking hits," and "Unlike the previous season which focused on bare-handed action, I've prepared a lot of gun action."

She added, "At first I didn't understand my uncle, but as I see myself gradually resembling him, I come to understand Jin-man. That emotional change is an important point of Season 2."

Season 2 was quite a burden on the actors. Lee Dong-wook confessed, "The pressure to do better than Season 1 still exists now. I thought if it didn't, Season 2 would have no reason to exist."

He went on to say, "All actors demonstrate action that brings out their character's qualities. The story continues organically within a well-structured universe," and expressed confidence, "It will be a work that viewers can sufficiently immerse themselves in."

Director Lee Kwon pointed out the differences from other popular action works. He explained, "While there are many action films, the most important thread is 'how does the child Jeong Ji-an grow.'"

He emphasized, "The core is the process of becoming an adult through survival and counterattack. All action also exists for that growth narrative."

'Killers' Shopping Mall Season 2' will release episodes 1-2 on the 22nd. Thereafter, 2 episodes air sequentially every Wednesday.
