[Dispatch=Lee A-jin reporter] Wooz (real name Cho Seung-yeon) is taking on a challenge in screen acting.
Production company Hive Media Corp announced on the 23rd that "Wooz has joined the film 'Nambul'." He will work alongside Lee Byung-hun, Go Yun-jung, Lee Do-hyun, and others.
'Nambul' is a hardboiled martial arts action film. It tells the story of nine warriors of different abilities and ranks setting out to rescue prisoners kidnapped by Japanese pirates.
Wooz plays the archer 'Cheotnnom', a character with perfect marksmanship. He embarks on a dangerous subjugation mission for the livelihood of his family left behind in his hometown.
Above all, he has a strong sense of responsibility toward his family and colleagues. Wooz plans to express his desperate convictions and deep emotional lines delicately.
Director Lee Mo-gae, a cinematographer, is taking on directing duties. He has previously shot hit works including 'Spring in Seoul', 'Exhumation', and 'Hunt'. 'Nambul' marks his directorial debut.
Meanwhile, 'Nambul' is in pre-production with the goal of beginning filming in the second half of this year.
