Big Hit Music announced on the 27th that "the music video for BTS digital single 'Butter' surpassed 1.1 billion views on YouTube at 2 a.m. that day."

It marks the team's seventh 1.1 billion view milestone. It follows 'Dynamite', 'Boy With Luv', 'DNA', 'Mic Drop', 'Fake Love', and 'Idol'.

The 'Butter' music video is characterized by contrasting color schemes, costumes, and stage design. The members' fluid yet powerful choreography was combined with sensual direction.

It garnered global popularity immediately after release. The music video surpassed 10 million views in 13 minutes of opening. It recorded 100 million streams in 21 hours.

'Butter' is the second English song released by BTS. It debuted at number one on Billboard's main song chart, 'Hot 100' (2021), and charted for 20 weeks.

Meanwhile, BTS is currently on their world tour 'Arirang'. They will continue performances at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 1-2.
