[Dispatch=Myeong-Ju Lee] Director Lee Chang-dong's new film "A Possible Love" will be released in theaters before its Netflix premiere.
A representative from distributor 'NEW' announced on the 28th, "'A Possible Love' has confirmed its theatrical release. It will first meet Korean audiences on September 23rd."
Ahead of its Netflix release, the film will debut in select domestic theaters. Films such as "Frankenstein" and "The Irishman" have also received theatrical releases.
"A Possible Love" will reach global audiences through Netflix starting November 6th, approximately one month after its theatrical opening. This provides viewing opportunities for more people.
This is the director's first Netflix film. It tells the story of a laid-off worker and his wife, and a documentary director and her husband confronting hidden desires.
It dominated major film festivals worldwide. It was invited to the competition section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival and the Special Presentation of the 51st Toronto International Film Festival.
