'The Reason I Decided to Die' is a time-loop youth romance drama. It tells the story of a man trapped in infinite time loops to save the woman he loves, and a woman who faces fate to protect his life. It is based on a webtoon (by author YUJU). Lee Chae-min takes on the role of male lead Cha Gyeol. He repeats death and regression to save the woman he loves, Nam Ji-o. He is a man with a twist charm that shakes her heart. After losing her, he repeats the same spring. He will show a tender pure love. Noh Yoon-seo plays taekwondo prospect Nam Ji-o. She is a K-eldest daughter who endures each day with innate grit and energy. After facing a crisis due to injury, she meets Cha Gyeol and experiences destined love and a turning point in life. Lee Chae-min and Noh Yoon-seo previously worked together in the drama 'Scandal.' They reunite after three years. As lovers who jump to the boundary between life and death for each other, they will show new chemistry. The direction is jointly handled by director Choi Jung-gyu and director Kim Hee-won. Director Choi directed 'East Palace' and 'Hellbound' among others. Director Kim earned recognition for directorial skill through 'Vincenzo,' 'Little Women,' and 'Queen of Tears.' The screenplay is written by screenwriter Kim Sol-ji. She has shown works including 'Ssap-nida Cheonlima Mart' and 'Freezing to Death Romance.' She hinted at a youth romance with depth.
