[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo Reporter] Ko Ji-yong, a former member of Seo Taiji and Boys, has divorced his doctor wife.

Ko Ji-yong revealed the divorce through SNS on the 29th. He disclosed, "I divorced my wife two years ago."

Regarding why the couple's divorce was made public belatedly, he said, "I wanted to protect (the situation) so that Seung-jae could accept the circumstances and grow stably."

He added, "The divorce was a decision made to respect each other's paths and fulfill our responsibilities as adults," and said, "I will do my best as a father."

He continued, "Although we parted as a couple (with my ex-wife), we are getting along well and supporting each other. I would appreciate it if you could watch over us with warm eyes."

Ko Ji-yong debuted with Seo Taiji and Boys in 1997. With his tall stature and classical appearance, he enjoyed the greatest popularity in the 1990s. After the team disbanded, he left the entertainment industry.

After transforming into a businessman, he announced his marriage. He married Heo Yang-im in 2013 and had one son. He also revealed his family through entertainment program appearances.
