KATSEYE released the single "Animal" on the 24th. The song topped Spotify's 'Top Songs Debut Global' chart (as of the 24th-26th).
That's not all. "Animal" ranked 2nd on the 'Top Songs Debut U.S.' chart. On 'Daily Top Songs Global,' it peaked at 9th place (as of the 24th).
The new song had British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran participate as a co-composer. It is characterized by an upbeat rhythm and addictive hook, dealing with inner instinct.
Movie fans also took notice. Sony Pictures recently used "Animal" as the background music in a promotional video for the film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."
The song played during Spider-Man Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) action scenes. It surpassed 10 million views approximately 20 hours after release.
KATSEYE debuted in 2024 under HIVE's "Multi Home, Multi Genre" strategy. It became a triple crown winner at the '2026 American Music Awards.'
It hit multiple songs. "Nalli," "Gabriella," and "Pinky Up" gained popularity. In particular, its second EP has been charting on Billboard for 56 consecutive weeks.
