[Dispatch=Yuha Yoon] Actor Jung Il-woo is joining a new agency.

Galaxy Corporation announced on the 29th, "Jung Il-woo is a global Korean wave actor who has been loved throughout Asia for a long time," adding "we will create new synergy in the global market."

Jung Il-woo debuted in 2006 with the MBC-TV sitcom 'Unstoppable High Kick'. He has presented various works including 'The Moon Embracing the Sun', 'Night Watchman's Journal', and 'Cinderella and Four Knights'.

This year marks his 20th anniversary since debut. Jung Il-woo held a fan meeting 'Still Here' in Hangzhou, China in May. The event featured special segments including retrospective interviews, games, Q&A, and stage performances.

He was recognized for his global influence as a Korean wave star. That same month, he attended the International Economic Trade and Cultural Exchange Forum held in Shanghai. He received the honor of 'Asia Pacific Economic Trade and Cultural Exchange Ambassador'.

Jung Il-woo appeared in the recently released Amazon Prime original series 'The Criminals'. He took on the role of the mysterious character Takigawa. The series has maintained the number one viewing position for three consecutive weeks since its release.

Meanwhile, Galaxy Corporation is an AI entertainment tech company. G-Dragon, Song Kang-ho, Taemin, Kim Jong-kook, Ryu Jun-yeol, and Lee Jung-hoo are signed to the agency.
