[Dispatch=Myeong-ju Lee] BTS spread positive influence. Half of the auction proceeds from the '2026 FIFA North/Central America World Cup' were generated from sales of their merchandise.
Non-profit organization 'Global Citizen' held a charity auction for the '2026 FIFA North/Central America World Cup' through British auction house 'Christie' on the 23rd to 30th (Korea time).
BTS donated seven products. RM's boots and belt, Suga's pants, J-hope's gloves, V's scarf, Jimin's shirt, and Jungkook's jacket were put up for auction.
The highest final bid was for Jimin's shirt. It is the item he wore during the halftime show of the '2026 FIFA North/Central America World Cup' finals held at New Jersey Stadium on the 20th.
The final auction price for the shirt was $110,000 (approximately 158.21 million won), tying for first place with the official ball used in the North/Central America World Cup final match between Spain and Argentina.
Other members' items also fetched high prices. V's scarf and Jungkook's jacket each sold for $46,200 (approximately 66.38 million won), and Suga's pants for $33,000 (approximately 47.44 million won).
Additionally, J-hope's gloves sold for $28,600 (approximately 41.11 million won), RM's boots for $19,800 (approximately 28.45 million won), and Jin's belt for $16,500 (approximately 23.71 million won).
BTS raised a total of $300,300 (approximately 430.57 million won) through this auction. This accounts for 46% of the total fundraising amount of $652,630 (approximately 900 million won).
The auction proceeds will be transferred to the 'FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund'. It is a fund that provides education and soccer opportunities to underprivileged children in 200 countries around the world.
Meanwhile, BTS is meeting ARMY (fanbase name) around the world through their world tour 'ARIRANG'. They will visit MetLife Stadium in the United States on the 1st and 2nd of next month.
