KATSEYE Places 16th on Official Chart... Records 9th on Spotify Global

[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myeong-ju] KATSEYE swept major global charts with their comeback.

KATSEYE released the single "Animal" on the 24th. The song entered the UK Official Singles Chart "Top 100" at No. 16 (as of the 6th).

This marks the second time their song has reached the upper ranks of the Official Chart. Their previous track "PINKY UP" debuted at No. 14 and remained on the chart for 12 weeks.

The performance of their collaborative track also stands out. "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" with LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT ranked at No. 79.

Beyond the UK chart, they also performed well on Spotify. "Animal" reached No. 9 globally (July 24-30) and No. 8 in the US on "Weekly Top Songs."

They set a new personal best again. They surpassed the records of "Gabriela" (No. 10 globally), a track from their second EP, and "PINKY UP" (No. 14 in the US).

The popularity of "Animal" was detected right after release. The song topped the Spotify "Top Songs Debut" chart globally at No. 1 and No. 2 in the US.

The new song had British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran participate as a co-composer. It features upbeat rhythm and an addictive hook, dealing with inner instinct.

Meanwhile, KATSEYE will release their third EP "WILD" on the 14th.
