Judge Boo Dong-sik, the warrant-dedicated presiding judge at the Seoul Central District Court, conducted a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review hearing) for the CEO on the 3rd. It began at 10 a.m. and ended at 12:45 p.m.

After completing the hearing, the CEO left the courthouse with a dark expression. He did not answer any questions from reporters and got into the escort vehicle.

The CEO appeared at 9:27 a.m. that day. To the question "What points will you focus on in your explanation," he answered "I will respond sincerely." To questions such as "Why did you not proceed with the business after receiving the advance payment," he remained silent.

The CEO is accused of fraud under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, among other charges. The allegations are that he proposed a business using the intellectual property rights of affiliated entertainers to a corporation and received 24.2 billion won in advance payment but did not actually proceed with the business.

Separately, there is also a deposit case. He is accused of promising to make a "charter lease contract for each person's own property" with an acquaintance, receiving and taking 5.4 billion won, and then failing to fulfill the contract.

Initially, the prosecution rejected the case twice. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Financial Crime Investigation Division applied for a warrant twice, but the prosecution requested additional investigation.

During the third warrant application process, it is reported that the prosecution and police coordinated. It is known that additional investigation was conducted, including tracing the CEO's accounts and further analyzing contractual relationships.

Meanwhile, the CEO is expected to wait for the hearing results in the detention facility. The detention decision is expected to be made as early as late afternoon that day.
