Wake One stated on the 4th, "Sang-hyun previously felt discomfort in his throat and visited a hospital," and "recent diagnostic results confirmed that surgical treatment is necessary for vocal cord polyps."
Sang-hyun will undergo vocal cord polyp removal surgery on the 5th. For approximately three weeks going forward, he must refrain from using his voice. Accordingly, Sang-hyun will not participate in official schedules scheduled until the 22nd.
Wake One stated, "After surgery, daily life and exercise and physical activity without strain are possible," and "from the 22nd onwards, we will continue activities by comprehensively considering medical staff opinions and the artist's wishes."
They continued, "Activities that strain the throat such as vocalization and singing will resume in stages according to recovery progress," and requested understanding, saying "activities requiring voice use may be conducted in a limited manner."
Finally, Wake One added, "We will closely consult with medical staff so that Sang-hyun can undergo sufficient recovery after surgery and continue stable activities as an artist," and "we will do our best to support him."
Meanwhile, ALPHA DRIVE ONE will release their mini second album 'UNBREAKABLE : 少年BEAST' on the 24th.
