[Dispatch=Reporter Park Hye-jin] Actors Seo Gang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin depict the reality melodrama of lovers in their 10th year of dating.
The production side of KBS-2TV's new Saturday mini-series "Anything Other Than You" (screenplay by Yoo Su-ji, directed by Hwang Seung-gi and Lee Ga-ram) unveiled a script reading on the 5th.
The first script reading took place in March. Director Hwang Seung-gi and Lee Ga-ram, writer Yoo Su-ji, Seo Gang-joon, Ahn Eun-jin, Lee Joo-an, Cho Ah-ram, Kim Mi-gyeong, Kim Nam-hee, Lee Min-jae, Lee Jun-hyeok, and other key cast members attended.
"Anything Other Than You" is a melodrama series. It depicts a story in which a lover, 10 years into a relationship, encounters unfamiliar emotions.
Seo Gang-joon plays Nam-gung Ho, an assistant manager at Hunmin Confectionery. He is a character who has spent 10 years looking only at his lover Lee Mi-do. Seo Gang-joon delicately expressed emotions wavering between love and trust. He captivated the set with his distinctive warm and cheerful charm.
Ahn Eun-jin played film director Lee Mi-do. A character who has achieved her dreams but wavers before the wall of reality. Ahn Eun-jin densely portrayed Mi-do's complex psychology. By varying the tone with each situation, she elevated the set's focus.
Above all, the chemistry between the two is anticipated. Seo Gang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin act as lovers in their 10th year of dating. They are set to showcase the real chemistry of lovers who have shared everything.
Supporting cast members create ripples in the solid relationship of the two lovers. Lee Joo-an (playing Han Tae-seung) takes on the role of a lawyer from the film company who notifies Lee Mi-do of a unilateral layoff. While pressuring her, he is captivated by her.
Cho Ah-ram (playing Park Su-ah) is a junior at Hunmin Confectionery who suddenly appears before Nam-gung Ho. The two actors alongside Seo Gang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin foreshadowed a four-person relationship dynamic.
The production team said, "From the first rehearsal, each cast member naturally melted into their character, and the taste of the real melodrama narrative that the work aims for properly came to life."
They continued, "With the familiarity and excitement of lovers in their 10th year, the warmth of family, and realistic relationships among coworkers, all brought to life through the actors' excellent performances, viewers will be thoroughly drawn in."
"Anything Other Than You" airs for the first time on Saturday the 12th of next month at 9:20 PM. It will also be released to viewers in approximately 240 countries worldwide through streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
