"'A Possible Love' Invited to New York Film Festival…"A Work That Directly Confronts This Era"

Netflix announced on the 6th, "The film 'A Possible Love' (Director Lee Chang-dong) has been invited to the Main Slate section of the New York Film Festival."

The New York Film Festival is a leading film festival representing the United States. The Main Slate section is a section that showcases original works by world-renowned and emerging directors.

This marks the fourth time his work has been invited to this section. The director previously entered the New York Film Festival's major sections with 'Secret Sunshine', 'Poetry', and 'Burning'.

The festival stated, "This director's film stands out distinctly with its broad perspective and artistic ambition, elegant narrative structure, and multidimensional characters."

It continued, "'A Possible Love' is the work that has opened the widest horizon in his filmography," and praised it as "facing the times head-on and leaving a resonance."

'A Possible Love' has also been invited to the Toronto International Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival. The director became the first Korean to win the TIFF Ebert Directors Award (Toronto).

Meanwhile, 'A Possible Love' tells the story of two couples confronting hidden desires. It opens next month on the 23rd and is scheduled for Netflix release on November 6th.
