[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] BTS captivated New York City. Through "The City" linked with their concert, they expanded the entire city into a festival space.

According to Big Hit Music, BTS held "BTS The City Arirang - New York" (hereinafter "The City New York") in New York from the 25th of last month (Korean time) through the 4th.

The event unfolded centered around MetLife Stadium, where their concert was held, as well as at Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and the Korea Cultural Center New York.

City landmarks were filled with BTS. "Top of the Rock," the observation deck at Rockefeller Center, was decorated with the theme of their regular 5th album "Arirang." BTS music played at the venue.

At Grand Central Terminal's "Vanderbilt Hall," a T-shirt customization experience space was set up. Visitors could make their own T-shirts and view the members' stage costumes.

At Times Square, a large-scale performance took place with local famous dance crews. They performed to BTS music. A random play dance was also showcased.

The "Big Bus Tour" circulated through key locations including Grand Central Terminal, Times Square, and Koreatown. New York landmarks were introduced while BTS music played.

Beyond this, "Arirang Theater," light stick DIY experiences, and "stamp rallies" operated throughout the city. It was structured to allow simultaneous experience of their music and Korean culture.

The agency said, "Through the 'The City' project connecting Seoul to New York, we demonstrated the potential of a participatory content model linking performances with local infrastructure."

Meanwhile, BTS is having a long run on the Billboard charts. "Arirang" reached No. 15 on the main album chart "Billboard 200" (as of the 8th). It charted for 19 consecutive weeks.
