The distributor released the main poster and main trailer for the film "Bi-Gwang" (Director Lee Ji-won) on the 7th. It expressed the salvation narrative of a family standing on the edge of a cliff.
The poster features Jung-gu (played by Ryu Seung-ryong), Nam-mi (played by Ha Ji-won), and Dong-joo (played by Kim Si-a) in one frame. It hinted at complex emotions toward one another.
It suggests family solidarity. With the tagline "They bet everything on the most worthless hand," it conveyed the situation the family faced.
The trailer also builds anticipation. Daughter Dong-joo suddenly appeared before Jung-gu. Jung-gu and Nam-mi fell from a glamorous life to rock bottom in an instant.
Eight years then passed. Dong-joo was named a suspect after her friend's death. Everyone turned their backs, but the family was different. They unite to protect their daughter.
"Bi-Gwang" is a family chronicle. It tells the story of a top-star couple who separate because of the husband's daughter, then dig into the truth for their daughter caught up in a murder case.
Director Lee Ji-won directed it. The director won the Baeksang Arts Award for Best New Director and the Directors Cut Awards Film of the Year for "Miss Baek" (2018).
Meanwhile, "Bi-Gwang" is scheduled to open next month on the 2nd.
