[Dispatch=Park Hye-jin Reporter] Films 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' (Director Destin Creten, hereinafter 'Spider-Man 4') and 'Odyssey' (Director Christopher Nolan) are dominating theaters, with both films enjoying dual blockbuster success.

According to the integrated theater ticket system, 'Spider-Man 4' surpassed 5.213 million viewers as of 8 a.m. It collected 5 million viewers at the fastest pace this year.

This is 7 days faster than 'The Man Who Lives with the King,' this year's first 10 million-viewer film. By the standard of 10 million foreign films, it reached the milestone one day faster than 'Avatar: The Way of Water.'

'Spider-Man 4' tells the story of 'Peter Parker,' forgotten by everyone, facing a new threat. An enemy who remembers Peter Parker's identity emerges. Through DNA mutation, Peter Parker gains uncontrollable power and falls into deeper confusion.

The film drove its box office success through Peter Parker's growth narrative. It depicts the process of Peter Parker becoming a hero on his own without helpers. The joining of new faces added freshness. The appearance of other Marvel universe heroes also provides plenty to see.

'Odyssey' is catching up to 'Spider-Man 4's record at a rapid pace. On the morning of the 8th, it recorded 1.178 million viewers. It surpassed 1 million viewers on its fourth day of release.

'Odyssey' is also one day faster than 'The Man Who Lives with the King.' It shortened the timeline by one day compared to director Nolan's previous work 'Oppenheimer.' It recorded the number one spot at the box office for three consecutive days.

'Odyssey' depicts the long journey of the hero 'Odysseus' (played by Matt Damon), who led the Trojan War, returning to his family amid the wrath of the gods.

The dual blockbuster success is expected to continue for some time. 'Odyssey' recorded a real-time advance booking rate (as of 10 a.m.) of 52.2%, while 'Spider-Man 4' recorded 31.1%. Their combined market share exceeds 80%.

The advance booking audience for both films alone well exceeds 1 million. 'Odyssey' has about 800,000 reserved viewers, and 'Spider-Man 4' has about 500,000 reserved viewers. New records are expected for both films after the weekend.
