KATSEYE's agency announced on the 8th on the fan platform Weverse, "Sophia unfortunately will have difficulty participating in upcoming promotional activities for the time being."

A representative stated, "We received medical advice that sufficient rest and time to focus on continuous treatment are necessary for her recovery."

The agency continued, "We are well aware of how long the Icons have been waiting to see Sophia on stage, but we have determined that prioritizing Sophia's mental health is important."

Above all, Sophia's will to recover is strong. "Sophia earnestly hopes to stand on stage with her members," the agency said, adding, "We will support Sophia's recovery."

Sophia also posted on SNS that day, "I'm truly sorry I cannot be with you," and said, "If I don't take care of my mind and body now, it seemed I wouldn't be able to continue doing what I love most for long."

She promised to return stronger. "I will do my best to get through this time well, recover properly, and come back even stronger. See you soon," she wrote.

Sophia is scheduled to receive medical evaluation again in September. An additional announcement is planned. The representative said, "We will wait for the day Sophia returns with KATSEYE."

Meanwhile, KATSEYE released a new song "Animal" on the 24th of last month. The song ranked 8th on Spotify's "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart, marking the group's highest ranking to date.
