[Dispatch=Lee A-jin Reporter] TWICE's Jeongyeon is leaving JYP Entertainment and transferring to Baré Entertainment. She will now be under the same agency as her older sister Gong Seung-yeon.
Baré Entertainment announced through SNS on the 10th, "We are genuinely delighted to form a meaningful connection with Yoo Jeongyeon, who possesses diverse charms and infinite potential."
The agency continued, "We deeply resonated with Yoo Jeongyeon's sincere attitude and genuine commitment toward acting," adding, "We will support her so that both her new challenges as an actress and group activities can continue smoothly."
Jeongyeon also announced the transfer news through SNS on the same day. She said, "I am stepping away from the company I have been with for a long time since my teenage years and am attempting a fresh start at a new place."
She added, "I am grateful to our members, whose support cannot be fully expressed in words, to ONCE (the fan club name), and to the JYP family who helped me grow."
She emphasized, "TWICE, which is the greatest center within me, I will continue to protect as it is now," and "I will always prioritize standing before fans as a TWICE member."
Lastly, she said, "I will prepare step by step with sincerity both in my footsteps as TWICE's Jeongyeon and in Yoo Jeongyeon's new challenges," adding, "I will make efforts to fill the time ahead more beautifully."
Meanwhile, TWICE is currently at the point of their second contract renewal. Previously, Jihyo announced that she is leaving JYP. Other members are reportedly still in discussions regarding contract renewal.
