Seoul National University Children's Hospital announced on the 10th, "Actor Kim Ji-won donated 100 million won to support treatment costs for low-income patients and to improve ward environments."

Kim Ji-won said, "While filming the drama 'Doctor X,' I learned about the hardships of medical staff and stories of sick children up close, which led me to make this donation."

The donation will be used to support treatment costs for children with severe rare intractable diseases and their families. It will be used so they can receive treatment in a safer and more comfortable environment.

Kim Ji-won said, "I want to sincerely convey my gratitude and support to the medical staff who are working hard, and to the patients and their families."

The hospital said, "We will use the donation meaningfully to help families of patients facing financial difficulties with treatment costs, and so that children from across the country who come to our hospital with hope can focus on their treatment."

Meanwhile, Kim Ji-won finished filming SBS-TV's 'Doctor X: The White Mafia Era.' It is a medical noir drama about a doctor who proves herself solely through her skills.

Kim Ji-won plays genius surgeon Gae Su-jung. She is called the 'crazy dog' of the operating room. She is a figure who puts the corruption of medical power on the operating table. 'Doctor X' is scheduled to air in October.
