Netflix film 'Do-Cha-Bi' confirmed production on the 13th and unveiled its casting lineup. The film is a new work by director An Tae-jin, who earned recognition for his distinctive directorial style with his debut film 'Night Owl'.

Screenwriter Hwang Sung-gu, who has presented deep character narratives and solid storytelling in films such as 'The King and the Men' and 'Assassination', took on the screenplay.

'Do-Cha-Bi' is a pure Korean word meaning goblin. In a border area where fire-field farmers have formed settlements, the story depicts how a Jurchen woman named 'Ahai' and former military official 'Taesan' come to be called do-cha-bi as they fight against 'Idogwan', who hunts fire-field farmers.

Kim Do-hoon plays the role of 'Taesan'. Taesan becomes entangled in a mysterious plot by masked figures and is branded as a barbarian chieftain. He becomes a do-cha-bi who protects people amidst desperate moments of surviving like a monster and fighting like a ghost.

Jeon Jong-seo plays 'Ahai'. Ahai is a woman with quick movements and excellent martial arts skills. She fights alongside Taesan. She is expected to create fresh chemistry with Kim Do-hoon.

Lee Joon-gi plays 'Idogwan', the supreme commander of the border area. Idogwan is a figure harboring deep desire for power. Lee Joon-gi has signaled the birth of another iconic character through overwhelming action.

Here, Lee Sang-i takes on 'Park Se-ryong'. Se-ryong is an inspector who visits the scene to investigate the situation upon hearing that mysterious masked figures have appeared in the north.

Bae In-hyuk plays Prince 'Yeol-hwa-gun'. He will portray the deep inner world and emotional lines of a character who harbors responsibility and compassion for fire-field farmers suffering hardship due to barbarians.
