According to the Korean Film Council's integrated movie ticket sales system, 'Odyssey' recorded a cumulative audience of 3,047,856 viewers as of 6:46 a.m. on the 14th.
It reached the 3 million milestone in just 10 days of release. Following its surpassing of 2 million viewers on the 10th, it drew an additional 1 million viewers in four days.
Pre-booking sales exceeded 1 million tickets. This surpassed the pre-booking figure (930,000 tickets) that 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' recorded on its opening day.
Unlike other films that only perform well at the box office during their opening period, the heat has not cooled. Through word-of-mouth, it drew new audiences to theaters.
'Odyssey' is a new film from director Nolan. It depicts the hero Odysseus, who led the Trojan War to victory, overcoming trials and returning home.
