[Dispatch=Reporter Lee A-jin] Stray Kids set another new record on the US Billboard chart.
According to a chart preview article released by Billboard on the 17th, Stray Kids topped the 'Billboard 200' (dated August 22) with their mini album 'THIS & THAT'.
The 'Billboard 200' ranks by combining album sales, streaming equivalent units (SEA), and digital audio equivalent units (TEA).
Stray Kids recorded a total of 369,000 units. This consists of 357,000 album sales, 11,000 SEA units, and 1,000 TEA units. This is a 25% increase from the previous work 'DO IT'.
The group claimed its ninth number-one position on the chart. It set the most records among 21st century artists. They now stand shoulder to shoulder with Taylor Swift, who has reached number one nine times.
By group standards, they followed the Beatles, who topped the chart 19 times. They now hold the same record as the Rolling Stones. They also earned their name as the artist who placed nine albums at number one in the shortest period since the Beatles.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids will hold their world tour 'RUN IT' at MUFG Stadium in Tokyo, Japan on the 29th and 30th.
