Distributor NEW revealed the casting lineup of the film 'Vampir' (directed by Jang Jae-hyun) on the 18th. "Yoo Ah-in, Seongmin, Jun Hyuk, DOI, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Choi Hyun-wook will appear," it said.
'Vampir' is a mystery occult genre. It depicts events that unfold as an anonymous hitman receives a commission from a clergyman and pursues a mysterious heretic group.
This is director Jang's fourth feature directorial work. He has presented numerous occult films including 'The Priests', 'Svaha: The Sixth Finger', and 'Exhuming', and particularly became a 10-million-viewer director through 'Exhuming'.
Yoo Ah-in is cast as the hitman chasing the heretic group. He is a character who does not waver in any situation, but gradually transforms upon encountering mysterious beings.
Seongmin takes on the role of a clergyman who breaks taboos. He agonizes between responsibility and guilt. Jun Hyuk plays a heretic yearning for immortality. He shows a bold transformation.
'Hype Princess' DOI went through an official audition and was selected for the role of a mysterious girl. Additionally, Yoon Kyung-ho joins as a smuggling broker, and Choi Hyun-wook as a U.S. Army second lieutenant.
Meanwhile, 'Vampir' recently held a script reading. It is scheduled to open in 2028.
