[Dispatch=Lee Myeong-ju Reporter] Actors Moon Geun-young, Go Ah-sung, and Kim Si-ah appeared in director Yeon Sang-ho's new film.
Showbox announced on the 21st that the film "Ye-to" (director Yeon Sang-ho, Yoon Young-woo) wrapped filming. "Moon Geun-young, Go Ah-sung, and Kim Si-ah have completed all their shoots," it stated.
"Ye-to" is an occult creature genre film. It tells the story of influencer sisters who go camping together, after which the younger sister disappears at the site of a pseudo-religious organization, triggering a series of events.
Moon Geun-young reunites with director Yeon Sang-ho, playing influencer older sister Sua. It marks her return to the screen after 9 years. She plays a character who puts her life and her younger sister on display.
Go Ah-sung works with director Yeon Sang-ho for the first time. She takes on the role of Deok-hee, whom the influencer sisters encounter in the mysterious world they enter.
Kim Si-ah plays Min-a, the younger sister who experiences confusion by the side of older sister Sua. In this work, she stars as sisters with Moon Geun-young and shows a different side from her previous work.
Direction is jointly handled by director Yeon Sang-ho and director Yoon Young-woo. The two, who have collaborated as director and assistant director, showcase a fresh expansion of the "Yeon Sang-ho Universe."
Director Yeon Sang-ho said, "'Ye-to' is a fresh work that combines distinctive visual effects and drama," and added, "I was amazed by the actors' explosive performances."
He continued, "The film requires considerable post-production work. We will do our best in the remaining post-production to create the highest quality film."
Director Yoon Young-woo also asked for anticipation. "Through the story of two sisters' experiences in an unfamiliar world, I want to offer audiences a different kind of experience," he said.
He added, "The capabilities of the staff members we've worked with over a long period, new visual effects solutions, and the actors' performances will be additional highlights."
Meanwhile, "Ye-to" is currently in post-production. The release date has yet to be determined.
