[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo Reporter] Actor Yoo Ah-in is resuming his acting activities at his new agency.
Billions announced on the 21st that it had signed an exclusive contract with Yoo Ah-in. "We decided to make a new start together through a careful process," it stated.
Regarding his direction of activities, the agency explained, "We will accompany him from a long-term perspective so that the actor can fulfill his responsibilities and build new trust with the public."
The agency said it would play a role as a genuine partner beyond management duties. "We will create an environment where healthy activities can continue," it promised.
The agency also stated, "We will manage all of Yoo Ah-in's activities" and added, "We will support him so he can fully focus on his responsibilities as an actor."
However, the agency took a cautious stance given that Yoo Ah-in's suspended sentence has been confirmed for charges of habitual drug use. It mentioned 'reflection' and 'responsibility' multiple times.
The agency stated, "We will not take the past lightly" and acknowledged, "We are well aware that reflection and a sincere attitude are necessary."
It added, "We will be a responsible partner so that Yoo Ah-in can honestly forge his own path. Please watch how he progresses."
Yoo Ah-in recently announced his screen comeback. It has been three years since the related allegations became known in 2023. He withdrew from Netflix's 'Hellbound' Season 2 at that time.
As the incident grew, films featuring Yoo Ah-in also faced delays in their release schedules. 'The Match' (2025) and 'High Five' (2025) were released later.
Yoo Ah-in was subsequently sent to trial on charges of habitual drug use. In the first trial, he received a one-year prison sentence, but last year a one-year prison sentence with a two-year suspended sentence was confirmed.
His comeback film is director Jae-hyun Chang's film 'Vampire.' Yoo Ah-in was cast as a hitman pursuing a heretical group. He recently conducted a script reading.
