[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] BTS has stirred all of Canada. Their performances have colored cities across the country with a festive atmosphere.
'Toronto News' reported on the 22nd (Korea time), "Toronto declared the 22nd-23rd, when BTS is holding performances, as 'BTS Weekend.'"
This is a project commemorating their tour. During this period, the 'Toronto Sign,' a landmark at Nathan Phillips Square, will glow purple.
On the same day, Young Street will be decorated as 'BTS Boulevard.' It extends from Norsk York Boulevard to Finch Avenue and will be maintained until the 23rd of next month.
This project also carries the purpose of revitalizing the local economy. Toronto plans to promote the Norsk York area Korean business district and Korean culture through 'BTS Boulevard.'
The local tourism industry has also taken notice. 'Destination Toronto,' Toronto's tourism marketing agency, released a 'BTS Weekend Guide' to help fans have a broader city experience.
The media is also showing keen interest. 'CityNews' reported on the scene ahead of the 'Arirang' tour, saying "BTS fever is lighting up Toronto."
Traffic measures have also been strengthened. Toronto is preparing in multiple ways for the weekend of the BTS performances, including expanding public transportation operations and on-site response personnel.
Meanwhile, BTS will hold performances as part of the 'Arirang' tour at Rogers Stadium on the 22nd-23rd.
