KATSEYE Tops 'Billboard 200'..."Largest Weekly Performance for Female Group"

[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] KATSEYE has reached the top of the US Billboard main album chart.

According to Billboard chart preview reports, KATSEYE entered the No. 1 spot on the main album chart "Billboard 200" (as of the 29th) with their third EP "WILD."

This is the highest-charting album among their releases. "Beautiful Chaos" peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, and "SIS" reached No. 98.

It is also the fourth female group's No. 1 album in 10 years. This follows TWICE's "With U.S" (2025), NewJeans' "Get Up" (2023), and BLACKPINK's "Born Pink" (2022).

"WILD" recorded a total of 170,000 album units (14-20 days). Of these, album sales totaled 145,000 copies, SEA 24,500 copies, and TEA 500 copies.

Billboard stated that this was "the highest weekly performance recorded by a female group since the Billboard 200 switched to album-equivalent sales basis in 2015."

KATSEYE is a group that debuted in the United States in August 2024. They were formed through "The Debut: Dream Academy," a global audition project.

They pursued the pop market with a 'K-pop methodology.' The strategy is to localize the K-pop production system and produce global artists with roots in various places.

In other words, 'multi-home, multi-genre.' HYBE collaborated with Geffen Records to create KATSEYE. In three years since debut, they have established themselves as a leading group.

Meanwhile, KATSEYE will launch "The Wild World Tour" in Dublin, Ireland on the 1st of next month.
