[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju] Actors Song Kang and Kim So-hyun are meeting once again in a romance drama.
The production team of MBC-TV's new Friday-Saturday drama "White Scandal" (written by Kim Ga-eun, directed by Kim Cheol-gyu) unveiled its casting lineup. Song Kang and Kim So-hyun have confirmed their appearance.
"White Scandal" is a mutual-rescue romance. It tells the story of a chaebol heir actor who doesn't want to be a successor and a fallen child star engaging in a fake romance.
The two are reuniting in a project approximately five years later. Song Kang and Kim So-hyun previously depicted a fresh youth romance through the "If You Love Me" series.
In this drama, they play a man and woman who meet again while carrying past wounds. They are set to show emotional layers deeper than their previous work.
Song Kang plays Dan Yi-hyuk, a top Korean actor and chaebol heir. He is a character born as an illegitimate child of a chaebol family, living while acting out the image his grandfather desires.
A top star in front of the camera, a chaebol grandson behind it. In the midst of struggling to escape the succession structure, he begins a fake romance.
Kim So-hyun plays Ji Eun-seol, a once-promising child actress who has fallen due to a certain incident. She lives as a celebrity manager without letting go of her dreams of acting.
During this time, she reunites with Dan Yi-hyuk, who was at the center of the past incident. Through him whom she meets again, she is a character who faces buried secrets of the past.
Meanwhile, "White Scandal" is preparing for its first shoot. The air date has not yet been decided.
