Netflix announced on the 25th that "the new original series 'Scandal' (screenplay by Lee Seung-young and Ahn Hye-song, directed by Jiwoo) will be released on September 18."

Related teaser posters and teaser trailers have also been unveiled. First, the poster captures three people entangled in the wager in a painting done in Korean artistic style.

Jo's Wife (played by Son Ye-jin) sits in the inner quarters where red flowers bloom in profusion. It raises questions about why this dignified aristocratic lady proposed a seduction wager.

Jo Won (played by Ji Chang-wook) showed that the nickname "Joseon's playboy" was no exaggeration. Surrounded by numerous women, he receives their passionate gazes.

Hee-yeon (played by Nana) was also spotted. Between abundantly blooming plum blossoms, she wears a sorrowful expression. It hints at the fate of someone who has unknowingly become the object of the wager.

In the teaser, the beginning of a scandal that will shake Bukchon is depicted. Jo's Wife proposes the wager, and Jo Won accepts it with a gaze filled with desire.

Meanwhile, Hee-yeon shows a completely different face. Inexplicable fear permeates throughout. It stimulates curiosity about the fates of the three people.

'Scandal' is based on the French novel 'Dangerous Liaisons.' It was also produced as a film of the same title (2003). The setting has been moved to the Joseon era.

Director Jiwoo is in charge of directing. The original story has been reinterpreted in a contemporary manner. It depicts in multidimensional detail the desires of characters who resist taboos of Joseon.

Meanwhile, 'Scandal' will be available on Netflix on the 18th of next month.
