[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo Reporter] Disney+ series "The Remarried Empress" will be unveiled for the first time in Busan.
The 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) announced its "On Screen" selections on the 25th. A total of three works—"The Remarried Empress," "Honey Part-time Job," and select episodes of "Blue Road"—will have their premiere screenings.
"On Screen" is a section that showcases the latest highly-anticipated dramas encompassing the expanded scope and value of cinema. Audiences can experience them on screen before their official broadcast.
Attention is focused on "The Remarried Empress" among these titles. The work is based on a web novel and webtoon of the same name. Actors Shin Min-a, Joo Ji-hun, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young star in the lead roles.
Netflix will present "Honey Part-time Job" and "Blue Road." First, "Honey Part-time Job" combines imaginative storytelling and mystery set against the backdrop of a suspicious part-time job workplace.
"Blue Road" is a new work by director Han Jun-hee. It stars Son Seok-gu, Eita Nagayama, and Kim Shin-rok. The story uncovers the truth behind serial murders that cross borders.
Meanwhile, this year's Busan International Film Festival will take place from October 6-15 around the Busan Cinema Center. The opening film has been set as "Day and Night Are Mirrors of Each Other" directed by Kim Jong-gwan.
